Children grow up. Those, who once were under the shadow of the wings of their parents, grow their own wings and step out from the protection of their parents. Employees start their own business. Those, who once were under the shadow of the wings of their bosses, grow their own wings and step out from the protection of their employers.
These things are natural occurrences. It causes a person to really do some introspection and determine how strong they can be on their own. But what about when a Christian, who once was under the shadow of the wings of his Father in heaven, grows his own wings and steps out from the protection of his God? Too many have tried this! Too many have wrongly thought that they were strong enough to live on their own! Too many have allowed the allure of “doing it their own way” to entice them. Do you know such a one? Let us draw them back into the flock. The flock of God is where (and only where) true strength is found! We have some brethren who need to be encouraged to come back under the shadow of His wings!
