If I knew that the thief was going to break into the house that night, I would not have left the car keys on the counter. I would have moved the camera to the back room. I would have done a number of things differently . . . if I had only known.
You know that the Bible says that Jesus will come “as a thief in the night” (1 Thess. 5:2; 2 Pet. 3:10; Matt. 24:43-44). That means there will be no warning, no signs leading up to it, no indication at all that it is about to happen. What if He comes tonight? Seriously. Think about it. What if Jesus comes back just as you pillow your head tonight? What would you move right now, what would you start doing differently right now, what would you change right now, what would you need to do right now to be 100% prepared for His coming? This is not some academic exercise in hypothetical research! This is very real! This is critically important! This is of E-T-E-R-N-A-L significance-the difference between eternity in heaven and eternity in hell! Whatever you “would” do is what you “need to” do right now!
