The Lord Reigneth

In Psalm 93:1-2 we read, “The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.” Jehovah Reigneth, He is the one that is in absolute control in the Universe. What a phenomenal thought to consider the Lord with such tremendous power and might. When you consider the power of the oceans, the power of weather, the power of an earthquake, or volcanos, of a raging river, God is more powerful than all these put together. Or the energy of the sun, a humongous fire ball in the sky, emanating heat and energy continually around the year, and has been burning for thousands of years. Yet the Lord is more powerful than the sun or the many stars in the universe. He has established the world, and is does not moved from the orbit that he put it in motion since the creation of the world. God is from eternity, from everlasting. That is a mind boggling concept, that God has always existed from everlasting. He always was and always will be, he is God. That is the God that loves and cares for us. He is the one that we can trust and put confidence in to ever provide for us. Hebrews 13:5-6, “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we can confidently say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” Thanks be to the Lord who is our King, and our loving Father, who is there to care and provide for all our needs. Yes the Lord reigneth and we can be his child. Are you a child of God today, and is he ruling in your heart and life?
