We were truly blessed to have Duane labor among us. He was truly an inspiring, loving, kind, wise, and gentle soul. He served us well as an elder, providing encouragement and valuable insight. He also served as a wonderful song leader and teacher of congregational singing. We have all benefited in so many ways, and, though our hearts are heavy because we miss him, we rejoice that he has gone on to his reward.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
